This privacy policy explains how TAX MAG LTD ("we", "us", "our"), company number 14436518, of 36 Sands Close, Colwick, Nottingham, NG4 2GZ, collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller for the information we hold about you and are committed to protecting your privacy in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What information we collect
- Contact details you provide - name, email address, phone number and business details.
- Information you send us by email or tell us by phone.
- Where you become a client, the financial and tax records needed to provide our services.
- Technical data such as anonymised analytics, only where you have given consent.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
- To deliver our accountancy, tax and payroll services under our engagement with you.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks.
- To improve our website, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and promoting our practice, and compliance with our legal obligations (for example, retaining records required by HMRC).
Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We may share it with HMRC and Companies House as part of our services, and with trusted software and hosting providers (such as BookEnu) acting as our processors. All are required to keep your data secure.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as required by law and our professional obligations, typically at least six years after our engagement ends. Enquiry data that does not become a client relationship is deleted within a reasonable period.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing and to data portability.
